As a trainer I really like tools. Tools make our life easier, not only in the kitchen, also in the classroom. They help participants in learning and that’s why they are in our classroom or even in our coaching.

 

For a long time I have been using 3 sets of card tools produced by Schouten China. I will introduce what they are and share my experience of using them.

 

作为一名培训师，我十分喜欢使用工具。正如在厨房里，好的工具可以让你的生活简单一些，我们在课堂上，甚至在进行教练时，也会使用工具去帮助学员学习。

 

一直以来，我非常喜欢用思腾中国出品的三套卡片，下面我会介绍一下这些卡片以及我的使用心得。

Association cards 创意联想卡

 

First I have these Association Cards. If you have been in my training, you know I like to use them. They are so colorful.

I put them in the middle of the classroom on the floor and they immediately draw attention and make people curious. I use them when I want to know how people feel. For example, I will ask them:

■ What card shows a quality you really dream of？

■ Which card resembles teamwork for 

you？

 

These cards activate the right brain, the creative side, which is important for learning.

 

首先我会用到“创意联想卡”。如果你曾在我的课堂上，你肯定记得这些七彩缤纷的卡片。

我会把它们放在教室中间的地板上，这样可以马上引起学员的好奇心。在培训过程中，每当我想知道学员感受如何的时候，我就会让他们选一张卡片来表达，例如：

■ 哪一张卡片展示了你最梦寐以求的能力或品质？

■ 哪一张卡片最符合你心中的团队合作?

这些卡片可以激活人主管创造力的右脑，这对于学习来说非常重要。

Nice to meet you 很高兴遇见你

 

The second card set is Nice to meet you. It is meant for getting to know each other better. When there is a group of people who needs to get to know each other in a more personal way, these cards really can help with questions like …..

■ Which celebrity would you like to have dinner with?

■ If you could have magic power, what kind of power would you like to have? What would you do with it?

■ Suppose you lived in the middle ages, what kind of job would you do?

 

There are a lot of possibilities to use them as well.

 

1. You can ask people alternately to pick a card and answer the question that’s on it.

2. You can also as a trainer decide to pick one card for the whole group.

3. You can ask the participants to pick a card and ask the question to someone else.

 

第二组工具“很高兴认识你”能让学员互相迅速破冰。当一组陌生人想以更个人化的方式互相了解，他们可以互相问对方以下这些问题：

■ 你想和哪位名人共进晚餐?

■ 如果可以，你想拥有什么超能力？你会怎么使用它？

■ 假如你生活在中世纪，你会做什么样的工作？

 

在课堂上，我们有很多种使用这些卡片的方式：

1.让每位学员轮流抽取一张卡片，并回答卡片上的问题。

2.抽取一张卡片，让全组学员回答卡片上的问题。

3.请一位学员抽取一张卡片，并指定另一位学员回答卡片上的问题。

Feedback cards 反馈卡片

 

The third card set is about feedback. It is meant to stimulate giving feedback to each other in a “light-footed” way.

It includes questions like:

■ Suppose you started your own business and you asked me to be your business partner. What role would I play in your enterprise?

■ Please describe me the perfect holiday for me, or a night out which would really suit me.

■ Suppose it was possible to buy each other’s talents, which of my talents would you like to buy?

These questions can encourage people to speak up about qualities they observe, express images they have of each other. Additionally, it can inspire you as a trainer to use one question for small group discussions.

 

第三组工具是“反馈卡片”，使用这个工具是为了鼓励大家以轻松的方式给予彼此反馈。

里面的问题包括:

■ 假设你创办了自己的公司并且你邀请我成为你的商业合作伙伴，我在你的企业中扮演什么角色？

■ 请为我描述一个完美的假期，或者一个非常适合我的夜间活动。

■ 假如人可以购买互相购买才能，你想买我哪一项才能？

这些问题可以鼓励大家说出他们所观察到同伴的品质，表达他们对同伴的印象。此外，作为培训师，你也可以就其中的问题发起小组讨论。

I really like to use these tools, they bring a surprising, pleasant atmosphere in the classroom. You can see the walls around people falling down and they will be more devoted in the learning.

 

我非常喜欢使用这些工具，它们给课堂带来了充满惊喜和愉悦的气氛。你能看到人们防备的“围墙”一点点瓦解，从而更加投入到学习当中去。
